At Demesne Contracts we prioritise the Health, safety and well being of our staff and the general public above everything else we do. Our staff is trained for the activity of work they have been employed to carry out, and we aim to provide the best training available so our staff continue to learn and progress as work methods and technology become more advanced.

Our work activities are planned in advance before our squads arrive to site, and we carry out all Risk Assessments and provide Method Statements so we can minimise to the best of our ability any potential accidents or injuries to our work force or the public.

We also have a wide range of Company owned plant and equipment ranging from small to medium sized tracked Excavators, rubber tyre Excavators, Dump trucks, Lorries, Trailers, Tractors, Teleporters and a wide range of attachments including rock breakers and mulchers etc. All plant is inspected and we hold 12 month ‘thorough examination certificates’ for all machines and 6 month ‘thorough examination certificates’ for all our lifting equipment (Chains, slings, man baskets etc). All our squads have I-Pad devices that store all our prestart, progress and completion photographs. These are stored and kept for five years to help in any dispute or insurance claim that may materialise during, or after our works are completed. We also have the latest cable avoidance equipment (CAT scanners) and our banksmen are fully trained in their operation. This helps minimise the risk of coming into contact with live service cables that can lead to serious injury and disruption.

At Demesne Contracts Ltd we have achieved, and continue to hold the industry known accreditation called Safe T Cert, the director within the company also holds a Nebosh health and safety qualification. As a company involved in a high risk industry such as Construction, Our aim is to continue our development to make sure that as a business the safety of ourselves and others is always foremost in all that we do regardless of the size of the project.
